Potential Problems and Fixes

Incorrect Base ROM

For this example, we used FireRed V1. In some cases, a file can’t be patched because it is the wrong version.

There are numerous versions of FireRed, so you might want to find a few of them if the file isn’t patching.

It’s like those Emerald ROMs where the popular one is the Trashman version and there’s also the Emerald V1.

The other thing is the ROM itself for the correct game. You cannot patch a FireRed hack without using FireRed.

The UPS File is Corrupted

Depending on where you get your UPS file, it may not be good to go. This can be present for some UPS files that are corrupted or those that haven’t been programmed properly.

It is very easy when it comes to how to use Tsukuyomi UPS Patcher to patch a ROM hack.
