  1. Thanks for making this page and also special thanks to Isaiah for adding Missingno because it helped me turn Team Rocket into a Missingno!

  3. The missingno. cheat can help you to catch kangaskhan. Sometimes instead of missingno. you will get a wild #$%M(&^% level 0. If you do,make sure you catch it when you only have 5 pokemon in your team. after catching it, give it one rare candy and it will evolve into a level 1 kangaskhan.

Another good cheat if you want Tauros or other rare pokemon from the safari zone is immediately after you exit the safari zone, fly down to cinnabar island and surf up and down the stretch where you find the missingno.(don’t use the old man cheat first) All of the safari zone pokemon will end up meeting you there, that’s how I got Tauros. If you have multiple master balls and an empty box in bill’s pc.get ready to fill your pokedex!!!

  4. “Oftentimes the cheat is glitchy, if you’ll enter 20, a 32 Pokemon will appear.”

Thats not a glitch, the number XX is written in hexidecimal, it ranges from 1(1) to FF(255). 20 is (2 * 16^1)+(0 * 16^0)=32. If you want 20 in decimal the number would be 14

  5. This is what actually cheats are:

They are pieces of text that are readable with a “cheat engine” like a Gameshark.
“Cheats” tell the Gameshark to set a memory address. For example, the cheat code
010138CD is telling to “set memory address 01xCD38 to 01”. (which activates the walk through walls cheat) The game uses the “hexadecimal” memory addresses to be more specific. It can also tell if a certain task is completed or how much does the have the item and what is that item. For example “01 0C” will translate to 12 Master Balls.

Please correct me if i’m wrong on some text- just explaining that “010138CD” or any of these are not magic lines of text to mess with the game.

  6. So, I’ve been playing Pokemon on a couple emulators, one on my phone and one on my laptop. I was trying to get the wild pokemon codes to work, but they just seemed to not want to work. After a little tinkering with the built-in cheat device on the emulator I use on my laptop I discovered why. The code is incomplete. It’s a two line code. The line 01XXD8CF only calls the image of the pokemon and won’t load the pokemon itself. To get the pokemon to properly load in the encounter so you can catch it (and to encounter it 100% of the time) all you have to do is enter 01XXE5CF as the second line, matching the XX with the hex code for the pokemon you want. So if you want to catch a Charmander, your code would look like this:

    01B0D8CF
    01B0E5CF

Just be sure to turn the code off after you catch the pokemon or you’ll only ever encounter the same one.

  8. I am playing Pokemon Blue on OpenEmu (for Mac) and I have successfully used the unlimited Masterball cheat and infinite cash cheat. I have put in the code for the Rare Candy in Mart cheat and it is not working. I am trying to use the Mart in Pewter City. Is the code still working or is there an updated code for the Rare Candy cheat?

      • just use another cheat but add +1 to the 3rd last character. if its a 9 then add a A and if its a F turn it back into a zero and add 1 to the 4rt last character. like if i have 09 and i add one it would be 10.

    • the way the game works is that it just replaces the bytes for the items when loading a shop. and since cheats freezes the memory adress then yeah it works.

    • I don’t know how to convert it to a Gameshark code, but there’s a code for Game Genie that allows you to use items infinitely, so you only need one. The code is:

      CE9-35A-084
      CE5-7A9-084

Every emulator I’ve used for GameBoy s both Gameshark and Game Genie codes, so it should work. So it’s not a “have an infinite number of rare candies” cheat as much as it’s a “use one of everything an infinite number of times” cheat.

    • Here:

      Unlimited Safari Zone Balls
      016447DA

      Unlimited Safari Zone time
      01F00ED7

These two codes need to be entered and activated as two separate codes at the same time.

  9. Hey, so I used the Infinite HP cheat because Koga’s gym trainers are just plain unfair, and now my Doduo and Persian’s HP are stuck at 255, any ways to reverse the HP back to normal?

    • yes. this cheat system thingy work by just replacing a single byte at the memory adress
for example. 01-01-38-cd if u flip the order of the last four characters u get cd38 wich is the adress. and the 3rd is what to replace it to from 00 to ff. and the first one is just to make the memory adress frozen wich means it cant be updated. so just search up a ram map find the adress where ur pokemon moves are stored and add the surf move to it

    • If you use the Universal Pokemon Randomizer, there is an option to change the evolution methods of impossible evolutions (like trades) into just leveling up.

  12. Hey, for the level modifier cheat, the XX is actually your desired level in base 16. 20 is 32 in base 16, which explains the example. Another example is for a level 10 encounter, you would use 0A, which is base 16 for 10.

    • You mean the cheat still in effect even after disabling them? May I know which emulator are you using? Also, restarting of your emulator could also be the solution but be sure to save progress before doing it.

      • Sorry this was my first time using an emulator. But I just had to go to where I put the cheat in and drag it to the left, so it gave me the option to delete. I’m sorry I was big waste of your time, it won’t happen again, sorry

        • No problem pal and thanks for coming here. May I know which GBC emulator are you using to play this game? I recommend My OldBoy for Android as this app s well with cheats. Also, if money is not an issue I suggest going for the pro version.

          • Thanks, I’m using Aurora on iOS, it’s a website and I added it to my Home Screen so I can use it like a regular app, it seems to work the cheats well, I just have to make sure to remove the cheats before adding new ones so my game won’t be slow, i don’t currently own any android products so I can’t get Oldboy but I’ll be sure to check it out if ever I get an android device. Thank you for the recommendation, I’ll be sure to use this site for more cheats and tips

      • So I use Myoldboy and the only cheats I’ve found that don’t glitch the game out while using at the same time is infinite money and a item code for each item I want I just edit the code by holding down the code and edit. Also to disable the code completely u have to delete it from the file.

  13. Do you have a Release Your Last Pokémon cheat? I am trying a Pokémon Blue Nuzlocke Challenge but I always lose to my rival, (His name is Assface because your rival is a jerk) so can you find a code for that?

    • When you apply the cheat, make sure you’re not in the Poke Mart before you do so. Make sure you didn’t type the code incorrectly. The TM/HM that you want should be at the top of the “Buy” list in the Poke Mart. Hope this helps 🙂

    • Make sure it’s the only one you enable for the cheats cause it won’t work if you enable two cheats at once, cause I had the same problem wondering why it wasn’t working till I went into the cheats and only ticked the tm I wanted I then got out and talked to the pokemart guy and found the tm there…hopefully this helps

  16. There is a bug with the Pokemon cheat. And I don’t just mean the graphic. The Rock/Ground types of Gravaler and Golem are resisting fighting type attacks. What’s up with that?

  17. The level cheat isn’t glitched, it’s values are based in hexadecimal. 32 = 0x20. If you want to encounter level 20 pokemon, use the hex value for 20 = 0x14

    • Yes. Because The Only things different are the auto seclected names, the color palette, the title screen, and the game start sound.

    • You don’t put the cheat codes directly in the game, rather, you need a GameShark cheating device (search Google if you want to find one) to put the codes into (if playing on a real console). If using an emulator, there should be a cheats function built in. Hope this helps.

    • The level cheat isn’t glitchy. It’s working just as intended. Basically due to some hexadecimal stuff that’s surprisingly simple. To get the level you want, search on Google the hexadecimal equivalent. So if you want a level 33 Pokemon, search 33 in hexadecimal on Google. Then just replace the xx with the hexadecimal equivalent of the level you want.(Goes up to FF, AKA 255.) For example: Level 33: 0121F3CF
