Be aware
Try not to use or activate too many cheats at once; doing so could confuse the game about how to handle the changes and cause various glitches such as random crashing, freezing, and messing with your saved data.
All the listed cheats work on almost all GBA emulators, but we recommend using MyBoy GBA Emulator or the paid version if possible for Android s. For PC s, using mGBA or VBA is highly recommended.
For iOS s, we highly recommend using the Delta emulator as this the most stable emulator nowadays for iPhone and iPad s.
For Myboy free version s, see this guide on How To Enter Multiple Liner Cheat Codes on My Boy Free Version.
Pokemon LeafGreen versions used – V1.0 and V1.1
Please note that LeafGreen v1.0, we conducted our tests using the 1637 – Pokemon LeafGreen (U) (Independent) version.
We found some cheat codes that work for Pokemon LeafGreen V1.1, but there aren’t as many compared for V1.0.
Most cheat codes were originally made for V1.0, so only a few of them work on V1.1. If you’re using V1.1, some cheats might not work properly or could cause glitches, so please be aware and pick the correct cheat for your LeafGreen version.

Cheats we recommend using
There are plenty of useful Pokemon Leafgreen cheats, but the ones listed below are what we recommend the most.
- Rare candy
- Master ball or Easy catch cheat
- Walk through walls
- Wild pokemon modifier
- Infinite money
For Delta Emulator s
To ensure proper functionality of the cheat, ensure that it is assigned to the correct cheat type (Action Replay, Codebreaker, or GameShark). In most cases, you will only need to use Action Replay or Codebreaker. For your convenience, we have included cheat type information for each cheat.
For cheats that require master code such as the Pokemon encounter, make sure to add the master code first, before the Pokemon cheat code. (See screenshot below)

Important: I’ve observed that even when a cheat is deleted from the cheat list, it still remains active in the game. To ensure complete removal, after deleting the cheat from the list, save your game progress, and then close your emulator. Reopen the game, and all previously applied cheats will now be completely removed.
Conclusion
Pokemon LeafGreen is not as popular as FireRed or Emerald, but the game is still one of the best Pokemon games.
Cheating is famous in LeafGreen and obviously in other Pokemon GBA games, but sometimes it won’t help if you seek a much more challenging experience.
For extra fun and excitement, cheat codes are used, and with the list of Pokemon LeafGreen cheats above, you can fulfill your LeafGreen gaming needs.
If you’re not familiar with best Pokemon ROM hacks, and they are way better than these regular Pokemon GBA games. You can always browse our site for our listings, and we have dozens of them.
Bro can u please tell me some cheat codes of pokemon i need some new pokemon so,and iam using gba emaluator free in that leaf green
Bro if you need Pokemon leaf green v1.0
Pokemoncoders if you don’t like this comment I can delete it just reply thank you.
Hi Brixz, sorry but we don’t allow links to rom files here. I already deleted the link anyway.
We only need a TM cheat for this game
I’m confused in the order of which is should enter the master codes then the code. Any help?
Mastercode should be entered first. Though it can be interchanged but as a rule of thumb, mastercode should be added first before the main cheat.
why is there no get national dex/complte pokedex in this
That can be a good and useful cheat. But I tried it once, so buggy and messes up the game that’s why I decided to just remove it from the list. Hope this helps.
ok thanks
You’re welcome, happy to help.
Why i always met girl pokemon when i using shiny cheat? Is there a way to fix it?
Save game progress while leaving the cheat enabled and then restart your game. You might need to repeat the same process and unfortunately you can’t pair the shiny cheat with gender modifier cheat.
Thanks ill try it later
Sure pal. Let me know how it went to you.
Sir the walk through walls is not working what do you think is the problem
You need a V1.0 Leafgreen version of the cheats to work. Perhaps you have V1.1.
HOW TO GET V1.0
Sorry but we don’t give information about rom files.
Master code isn’t working for Money
Which LeafGreen rom version are you using? You need V1.0 for them to work.
The rare candy and master ball are only cheat that work to me my leaf green is v1.1 but the other cheats are not working im so very very sad
Is there any way to change the player’s name?
Shouldn’t LeafGreen have the same amount of codes as FireRed? It’s a little frustrating when they get codes like easy catch and infinite exp. and LeafGreen doesn’t. Are there any codes like that for this vision?
Hey there Wickedcor, That’s what I believe as well. However, we don’t have the codes for those cheats yet. Hopefully a reader who has the code will share them to us here.
Pokemon Coders, What emulator is recommended for the cheats to work?
I recommend My Boy for Android and VBA for Windows.
Can you help me the nature modify is broken, when I switch it up,I encountered ‘?’
Can you fix it.
My version is v1.1
Turn off all other enabled cheats, also with your LeafGreen version which is V1.1 I doubt the cheats will work.
the master code for legendary Pokemons is unavailable. (0000BE99000A
1003DAE60007) these cheat is invalir. please help thanks
Master Code for all cheats in Leaf Green should all be the same.
It’s
E6A003D6 8110DDD5
56671F3A 6F4F4D6B
(That’s the MasterCode for GameShark V3 / ActionReplay)
Or
0000BE99000A
1003DAE60007
(That’s the MasterCode for CodeBreaker)
All you have to do is
1. Put the MasterCode separately from your Legendary cheats
2. It is fine if you put the GameShark MasterCode and you use CodeBreaker Legendary, it’ll still work
3. Disable any other cheats (in your case, any other than mastercode and legendary cheats should be disabled)
4. If you failed to catch ’em and you want to encounter them again but you can’t, don’t worry it’s normal. Just free-roaming for a while…or…you can try to reset your emulator, disable the cheats, or delete the mastercode and the cheats and put ’em again in the emulator
Hope this helps, because I already did that and still works just fine till now
Such a detailed information. Thanks for sharing pal, very useful.
I’m a cheater afterall XD…Thankyou for approving my info 🙂
Well, but overall what we seek is fun and cheating is fun for sure, no doubt. 🙂 Thanks for being here Pal.
Omg thank you I work so hard but you were the only one who knew it now I can beat the Pokémon league on leaf green
I’ve been trying to enter the codes in on my Physical Gameshark (no emulator) but none of them work on it
So I am using a GBA LG and the pokemon encounter code isnt working. Any advice on what is the proper master code as Im seeing online there are two versions I think
Just wondering if u happen to have an item code for iv training with iron, carbos etc.
additionally if they are the same as firered I’ve got them
I want to do the random wild Pokemon cloth but it’s not working
Check your LeafGreen version, if that’s v1.1, then most likely the cheat will not work.
HEYYY for infinite money go to poke centre before poke mart
that worked for me on mobile and pc
I have VBA and made sure I ed v1.0 of Leafgreen and it keeps telling me, “Invalid cheat code ‘[cheat code]’. ed formats are: XXXXXXXX:YY, XXXXXXXX:YYYY, XXXXXXXX:YYYYYYYY.” I have cheats enabled, but haven’t plugged in any of the codes because of this. Is there any way to fix this?
I’m using the GBA free emmu and it keeps crashing or fading to black when enabled the first two times the game runned fine but didn’t show the pokemon i wanted you what can i do?
Hey there, I love your website it’s really helpful. I just got back into leaf green playing through my boy, and the only cheats I want to use are the ones that can get me to Naval Rock and Birth island. You might have them here but I can’t find them, could you help me out? Cheers
I have a problem with the walk through walls cheat is there any body that had a problem with this cheat
Use a V1.0 LeafGreen rom to make it work. I already answered this question many times already, kindly read the comment more questions and my answers. Thanks
I’m using Open Emu and none of the codes I have attempted have worked yet. I’m using US versions, tried on fire red as well as leaf green. Not sure if it is the emulator, or the core(which is mGBA). But any help you might have would be greatly appreciated.
The wtw cheat does not work
Check my comments below to know the fix for your problem.
When I used the master balls cheat, a bunch of rare candies popped up, and when I tried to scroll to down to see if my master balls werecat the bottom, my game reset itself
Hi there, the cheats work best for V1.0 ROMs, be sure to have it. Also, make to disable all other enabled cheat codes except the master ball cheat to avoid cheat conflicts. Hope this helps.
Cause the website posted a backup instead of the real on so here

82031 dbc 2402 the two pokemon there is LUGA AND HO-HO
No, it’s not working bro. I added a different code and it’s working so far. Check it.
The walk through walls cheat does not work for me. I have the latest version of iOS and I’m using the delta emulator
Hello there Tom Cruise, which LeafGreen version do you have? Cause only the V1.0 works for most cheats and most likely will not work for V1.1.
I cant find the V1.0 version of LG in google.. Can you link it?
Sorry, we do not share rom files here.
Um Pokemon nature modifier makes wild Pokemon Missingo
Thanks so much! I will enjoy this for my Pokèmon adventure!
Have fun my friend, and I love your name btw.
How do you activate a master code?
Just enter it as a separate cheat before the main cheat.
The walk through walls code verifies in the cheat section of my emulator. However, it does not work when I activate it. I have activated it by itself, and it still does not work. Your codes for infinite rare candies and master balls works perfectly.
Hi there, are you sure you entered the correct code for Walk through walls? If the master ball and rare candy work well for you, then walk through walls cheat should work as well. Kindly Reply
Anyway uhh, actually im going to use this at pokemon advance adventure but i think that game has a bug cause, the cheats worked but it keeps freezing when i battle a trainer and i turn off all the cheats.. It just bothers me can you give me some tips?
Is there a chest that allows you to teach any move to your pokemon? I I used one on emerald.

Hey
I use the VisualBoyAdvanced Emulater that I just ed.
I saw on Youtube a cheat to get all 3 Starter but somehow it did not worked for me, doesnt matter how many times i tried.. When i typed the first mastercode in it always told me: “Warning: this code might be for a diffrent game, the code might not work”…
So now i decided to look for a Wild Pokemon Modifier. Same Problem.
The first master code: might be for a diffrent game….
Anyone able to help me?
I just want all 3 starters from the beginning.
hey. i was just stupid.. it worked lol
i had cheats disabled

The shiny cheat gave me a Bad egg. I was looking for a shiny absol but when I encountered one it was normal. I restarted the game to see if it would work but still didn’t. I gave up and decided to capture the one I had just encountered. The sprite was an absol, name absol, but when I caught it, it said bad egg was tranfered to box 1
The Shiny code is sometimes buggy, yeah you can get bad egg using it. But before using the cheat, be sure to turn off all other enabled cheats, leaving unneeded codes enabled can also cause glitches so I suggest disabling them.
Pokémon spawn cheat still isn’t working for me. I’m using version 1.0. It just doesn’t let me escape Pokémon encounters. Idk what I’m doing wrong. I’ve put the codes together. I’ve separated them. I’ve done just about every combination. Pls help. Shiny cheat is working. Just not encounters. Idk.
May I know the GBA emulator you are using to play the game? And hopefully, you didn’t forget to add the master code.
Yeah it’s not working for me too. I’ve tried both of the ore codes, one of them and altered spacers. I’m using GBA4IOS emulator
Sorry to hear it but sad to say GBA4iOS has issues with cheats for quite some time now.
help my my boy gba emulator because i did everything and did not work and i tried multiple times
Master code is the one listed right before the pokemon codes right?
Yes, you’re correct.
That’s because the master code is code breaker and the Pokemon code itself is gameshark. I’m having the same problem with the same version
Truth is with this master code: 00000554 000A
101DC9B 00007
83005000 0000
83005002 0000
And the infinite item code. 82025840 00XX
Replace (XX) with the last two digits of any item you chose and you can withdraw unlimited number of any item
I purchased the myboy gba emulator & the cheat codes I’ve tried which is rare candy in PC & masterball at pokemart are successful but im having difficulty trying to get the code to work for catching wild pokemon that I want to encounter. Can someone please help me because the codes ive tried are not working with my MyBoyGBA emulator for leaf green
Hi, may I know the version of your LeafGreen rom?
I am using the 1.1v of the rim with the My boy emulator and neither wild Pokemon or rare candy work
WILD pokemon MODIFIER and MEET LEGENDARY pokemon cheats are not working
I already answered these questions many times already. Just scroll down below to check.
What is a good emulator to use? (John GBA lite isn’t a good one)
Use My Boy, the paid version.
I tried the meet legendary pokemon cheat and it worked for a while. Then I turned it off and tried to activate it later but it’s completely stopped working. I’m using Myboy and it worked fine before but now I can’t get it to work, have tried deleting the cheat code and readding it but nothing is happening
I just discovered that if you put the no random battles on the 1.1 version of lg it will be a duplication cheat. Things that you can find on the ground will not disappear.
Legendary pokemon cheat doesn’t work only rare berry and money work fine please help me
Hey pokemon coders do you have a code for full pokedex
None as of yet bro, but I will surely add it here once I find a working full pokedex code.
Do you have a code to own all pokemon
Ummm the shiny cheat code does not work do you have another code for shiny
That’s the only code for shiny Pokemon of LeafGreen. Maybe it’s your emulator causing the issue, may I know which GBA emulator are you using?
Hi there everyone I have a working master ball cheat
Unlimited masterballs in your pc.
The code is:
820258400001.
Hello Damien, thanks for sharing but this code is already in the list above.
Hey pokemon coders there’s also cheat for items by replacing the last two or three digits with those of the items no. in the rare candy code same
as in some other roms
Hey guys, the fire red cheats for items, potions and TMs also work for leaf green
I’m trying to do the same thing, with no..expected response (Lack of words) I’m using VBA,I don’t know much about it,considering I’ve had it for 3 days, and would like a little help. Well, a lot of help, because I’ve tried around 10 codes with no expected response. Again,I have no idea what I’m doing. Thanks.
Hi, you also need a V1.0 LeafGreen rom to make it and every cheats fully works.
When using the shiny code, all the pokemon have the same nature (Relaxed) and the nature code doesn’t have an effect when used together with the shiny one. Is there a fix about this?
Hi there, unfortunately there’s no way to fix the problem. Cheating isn’t fully ed in this game, that’s the reason why most cheats are buggy and same with other Pokemon GBA games.
The No Random Battle Code doesn’t work for me. Tried several methods. Am using MyBoy Free version for Android. I have a US version 1.0
Since you have MyBoy Free and the “no random battle” is a two-liner cheat, you have to enter each line of code as a separate cheat. Reply
Already did that, I have used your codes when I played emerald. Btw thanks for sharing all these info, helps us a lot ????
Hi Misha, thanks for dropping here and using our codes.
can you please leave a link to 1.0 of leaf green? i cant find one anywhere
Nope, sorry pal but we don’t share rom file s here. If you want, you can find it somewhere.
There are a lot of ROM websites. I use 1.1(I think. My dad set me up.),but I’m pretty sure one of them has 1.0.
Hey pokemon coder i love your cheats it all work on mine but can you get a cheat for items because i want to get moonstones so i can evolve my nidorino
Hi there Electricshadow 129, I will add your request to our to do list. Stay tuned. Have a nice day.
The Pokemon modifier cheat and the legendary Pokemon cheat won’t work
(IDK if the cheat works for the paid version and not the free version because I am using the paid version)
Yes the cheat works well on My Boy paid version. It’s just weird that the Pokemon encounter cheat won’t work for you. How about the other cheats, did you tried to activate any of them?
Nothing works,i have the paid app,i did like the video sais to do,and dont work
Maybe you have LeafGreen V1.1 rom?
Which version of leaf green do u use bro @pokemon coders
Hey there, I use LeafGreen V1.0 or LeafGreen Independent(Got this from emuparadise) version.
Why won’t walk through wall doesn’t work?
Maybe because you have V1.1 rom? Or your emulator doesn’t cheats?
Try this walk through walls cheat 167DCBA7 F604FFD2

that one worked for me but other one didnt what was the difference between the two because i cant get some of the other codes to work
The shiny Pokémon cheat makes all the Pokémon male. It’s really odd. Anyone have a solution for that?
Unfortunately there’s no solution for this problem even from other Pokemon GBA games.
Give me the mega stone cheat
The original LeafGreen game doesn’t have mega stones. If you are referring to a rom hack it is best to name it.
Walk through walls cheat is not working
Look for LeafGreen V1.0, this cheat will not work for V1.1 roms.

What is the “No Random Battles” cheat for Pokemon Leaf Green V1.0 in My Boy Paid Version?
Hi, I’ve added the no random battles cheat code for Leafgreen. Kindly check it again.
Mastercode doesn’t work for me, ive tried it so many different ways and it won’t work, if it helps, I’m using John GBA
Try switching to MyBoy and use a LeafGreen V1.0 rom.
Uh question is a teleport cheat available?!
No code for teleport yet but I will find a code for that.
im on that but the master code is not working
May I know the cheat you are trying to activate?
If you’re still seeing these… I have the paid MyBoy, and Leaf Green V1.0, and the master doesn’t work…
Okay then, which of the cheats are you trying to activate?
I have my boy v1 and master code aren’t working for find any rare pokemon. I can only put 1 line at a time.
That’s because you have My Boy free version, to fix that you have to enter every line of the code as separate cheat. Also, be sure to use V1.0 LeafGreen rom and not the v1.1.
How do I get v1.0 it only gives me option for v1.1?
@pokemoncoders do you have a cheat code for full pokedex on leaf green v1.0 plz I need it
Can’t find a working code for full pokedex cheat yet. Hope someone would share their codes.
The shiny cheat is not working I’m using myboy and I have pokemon leaf green version 1.1 so what should I do?
Sorry but this requires V1.0 to work. Cheats works best for V1.0 roms and not V1.1.
Um how do u get 1.0 ????
Honestly it’s easy to find V1.0 these days. Try checking out Emuparadise or reddit.
i cant get it. i and some things wont work like master codes

The walk through wall cheat doesn’t work for me but all the other ones do is there something wrong
Restart your game after activating the walk through walls. If that doesn’t help, may I ask which GBA emulator are you using?
The Ekans code brings out Lv 13 Bellsprout on route 24.
Walk through walls is not working. it’s the only one. If it helps, I’m using Openemu.
do you have to press a button? like in platinum, you have to hold L.
I’m not a fan of OpenEmu, whenever I want to use cheats I usually use Bluestacks with My Boy installed in it.
The walk through walls code is not working, Master balls are fine, though
Do I press and hold a button? because in later games like Platinum and Heart Gold/Soul Silver you hold L
No need to hold L. When the cheat works all you have to do is walk on walls, tress, buildings, etc.
The cheats don’t work am using leafgreen 1.0 on GBA4iOS11
I need help am using GBA4iOS11 and using 1.0 but the encounter codes don’t work
I searched for 1.0 version to use cheats. I was wondering why cheat codes were not working and found out 1.1 was patched. I have been desperately looking for v1.0 and found some not so good websites with pop ups. This one seems to have worked. Does not say what version it is, but I decided to try anyway.
Cheats seem to work. I am using Myboy! paid version. I’m not sure if I can post urls, so in Google, Bing, or whatever search engine you use, type “romgbahacks.blogspot” and press the space bar and then type “pokemon leaf green usa gba”. In Google it should be the first link with fire red v1.0 second. It is easy to tell where to click.
Thanks for the information Rae and this is a valuable piece of information.
