Now, let’s get more in-depth into each method of getting Dusk Stone.

1. Terminus Cave

Where to get dusk stone in terminus cave

Terminus Cave is the location of the Legendary Pokemon Zygarde and the area is accessible after you beat the 7th Gym.

Upon entering Terminus Cave, go to your right and proceed down the stairs. Head down and turn left, then down again and jump over the ledges.

Go left, then upwards until you reach a bridge. Cross it, then head down past the trainer and make a right to cross another bridge with a hiker on it.

Go down the steep path and head upwards until you find another stairs to your right. Go down and head north until you see a small rock to your left. Use Rock Smash on it and go straight ahead.

Keep heading west through the maze-like area and go south when you reach a fork.

Keep heading to your left until you see a low area. Pick up the item and it should be a Dusk Stone.

2. Laverre City (Post-Game)

Another place where you can get a Dusk Stone in Laverre City. However, the Dusk Stone is unavailable until you finish the main storyline and beat the Pokemon League.

This option is for those who want to evolve a second Pokemon using this stone post-game.

Go to Laverre City and head northwest of the Pokemon Gym. Look for a Team Flare Grunt and talk to him.

He will tell you that he’s retired and give you a little gift: a Dusk Stone. I wonder where he stole it from.

3. Super Secret Training

How to get dusk stone in super secret training

The Super Secret Training is a series of mini-games or training regimens that allows you to EV train your Pokemon more quickly and efficiently.

Beating these challenges also rewards you with a Training Bag and a reward item which could be a Stardust, Soda Pop, Lemonade, or a type-enhancing item.

What we’re looking for is the Grand Prize of a certain regimen – “Watch Out! That’s One Tricky Second Half!”

In this training, you will have to beat a Balloon bot that gets faster and stronger while you rack up points.

Beating the current record time on this regimen will give you a chance to win a Dusk Stone.

So go to your Secret Super Training using the touch screen and select this regimen. Beat the current record and claim your prize.

Don’t be discouraged if you don’t get the Dusk Stone the first win. It’s simple but, you just have to keep trying until you get it.

4. Inverse Battle

Inverse Battles are unique battles introduced in Pokemon X and Y. They are only available in a house located on Route 18.

These battles are called inverse because type effectiveness is reversed. For example, fire-type moves are super effective against water types.

Winning these tricky battles with a score of 7-9 will give you a chance to win a Dusk Stone among other evolution stones.

Your score is determined by super-effective attacks you land and take.

Landing a super effective attack earns you +1 point while getting hit by a super effective attack makes you lose a point.

This method is tricky and since you can challenge him once a day, we only recommend this one as a last resort.

Conclusion

Now you know where to get Dusk Stone in Pokemon X and Y.

If you haven’t beaten the Pokemon League yet and want to bring a fully evolved Dark type in your Elite Four Challenge, we suggest picking up the Dusk Stone in Terminus Cave before going to the 8th gym.

Going to Terminus Cave the easiest and earliest way you can get the evolution stone.

After entering the Hall of Fame, make sure you get that free Dusk Stone from the Team Flare Grunt at Laverre City.

And finally, if you want to evolve more Pokemon, spam those Super Secret Trainings and Inverse Battles.
